Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Family Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice and be able to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
Key Responsibilities- Independently manage family law files, handling a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
- Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials, instructing support staff and receiving instructions from clients.
- Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications, negotiating at mediations and appearing at trials.
- Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end, with experience in general civil litigation being an asset.
- Minimum of 3+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice.
- Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
- Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to become part of the community served.
- Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
- Base salary: $100,000 – $200,000, depending on the year of call.
