Personal Finance Academic Program Manager

Athabasca University's Faculty of Business is seeking an Academic Coordinator for Personal Finance.
This is a temporary part-time position.
Role Overview:
The Academic Coordinator for Personal Finance will oversee the instruction, administration, and upkeep of four undergraduate Finance courses:
- Finance (FNCE) 249: Personal Investing
- Finance (FNCE) 322: Personal Finance
- Finance (FNCE) 323: Personal Finance: Special Topics
- Finance (FNCE) 350: Insurance and Personal Risk Management
The Coordinator will ensure effective course delivery, supervise Academic Experts and Markers, and collaborate with support staff as needed. Responsibilities include addressing student concerns (such as grade disputes, course challenges, exam reviews, transfer credit inquiries, and academic integrity issues) and managing a team of tutors dedicated to student support. The Coordinator may also assist with ongoing course revisions for final approval. This position reports to the Centre Chair of Economics and Finance within the Faculty of Business.
Qualifications:
- A master's degree is required; a PhD in Business is preferred.
- Experience in online education and familiarity with digital teaching tools (such as Moodle, Brightspace, and Grades) are advantageous.
Work Environment:
This role is virtual. While the duties can be performed remotely, the successful candidate must reside in Alberta.
