The Stock Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations within a supermarket environment. This position is essential for maintaining efficient inventory management and ensuring a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role within a retail setting.
Work Environment

This role is based in a supermarket/grocery store setting, where the supervisor will manage a team of grocery clerks and shelf stockers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including apprentices and team members.
  • Authorize merchandise returns and manage inventory levels.
  • Establish and maintain work schedules for the team.
  • Prepare detailed reports regarding sales performance, merchandising strategies, and personnel issues.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and supply shortages effectively.
  • Organize and maintain the inventory to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Manage cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Engage with suppliers to maintain product availability and quality.
