Job Title: Renovation Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Renovation Carpenter to join our team at MV Castillo Painting Corporation. As a Renovation Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the renovation and construction of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
