Job Title: Renovation Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Renovation Carpenter to join our team at Ottawa Home Contractors Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to renovation and construction, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials, as well as installing windows, doors, and other fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and measurements for renovation projects
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials for construction and renovation projects
  • Install windows, doors, and other fixtures
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in renovation and construction
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Reliability, accuracy, and client focus
