About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Dr. K. Kirupakaran Dentistry Professional Corporation. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Intake and Scheduling
    • Interview patients to obtain comprehensive case histories
    • Schedule and confirm appointments with patients and healthcare providers
  • Administrative Support
    • Order supplies and maintain inventory of dental materials and equipment
    • Enter and format electronic medical reports and correspondence
    • Prepare spreadsheets and documents for review by dental staff
  • Confidentiality and Data Management
    • Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
    • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees
    • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
    • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Support for Youths
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
    • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
    • Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
