Position Status: Permanent Part-Time with Guaranteed Hours
Hours of Work: 29.5 hours per week (Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays; Flexibility Required)
Compensation: Hourly pay rate ranges from $20.93 to $24.05 for Autism Support Assistants, with different rates for overnight shifts.
Union Affiliation: SEIU Local 1

In this position, you will:
- Provide guidance and support in social skills, communication, and leisure activities.
- Identify and address barriers to achieving quality of life, ensuring that personal outcomes are met for each individual.
- Administer medication in accordance with established procedures.
- Implement Behavioral and Crisis Protocols as required.
- Foster positive relationships with families, support networks, and community members.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Human Services Diploma or a Personal Support Worker certificate from a recognized institution; or
- Completion of secondary education with at least one year of relevant experience, preferably with individuals diagnosed with ASD.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- The physical capability to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- A valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proof of full Covid-19 Immunization, with accommodations available for those unable to vaccinate for protected reasons.
