Job Summary:

The Planning Officer will be responsible for the strategic planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance activities for trades personnel in hydroelectric facilities. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of work management methodologies and proficiency in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as asset suite.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a university-level education in fields such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics. This background is essential for evaluating, coordinating, and proposing plans for the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of large-scale industrial systems. Experience in hydro or thermal power generation is advantageous.

A solid command of English is necessary for drafting reports, proposals, and recommendations, typically acquired through four years of university education in a relevant discipline.

Additionally, candidates must have practical experience in industrial generating stations, including:

  • Shift operations and maintenance to understand operational and maintenance protocols.
  • Technical roles within a station's engineering group.
  • Experience as a technician or assistant supervisor.
  • Hands-on experience with established procedures, policies, and team dynamics.

A minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience is required to develop the necessary expertise.

Candidates must also demonstrate experience in planning and scheduling activities effectively.
