Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the highest standards.

Estimate and Order Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that they are ordered in a timely manner to avoid stockouts.

Manage Inventory and Reports

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements
  • Education and Certifications

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and a Safe Food Handling certificate.

Work Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Language

Fluency in English.

Work Environment

Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
