Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Current Level C CPR certification and ACLS, CTAS required or acquired within twelve (12) months from date of hire.
  • One year of recent related experience working in an Emergency Department and/or a Critical Care Unit.
  • Completion of, or willingness to enroll in, a post-graduate Critical Care or Emergency Department Course.
  • Up-to-date certification in TNCC and ENPC is an asset.
