Field Merchandising Representative

Job Summary:

The Territory Assistant is a part-time role that is an integral part of the field merchandising team at Hallmark. Reporting to the Territory Manager, this position will support the implementation of product programs within an assigned group of accounts and Retail Merchandisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train new and existing employees on merchandising processes and procedures.
  • Ensure Retail Merchandisers maintain the expected number of visits and work within allocated hours to meet budget requirements.
  • Support service coverage for vacancies, vacation, or sick day absences.
  • Participate in department revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store installations as needed.
  • React to issues on job sites in real-time to ensure existing priorities are achieved.

Communication Skills:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with Territory Manager and territory colleagues to ensure knowledge of upcoming programs and in-store activities.
  • Develop strong communication skills to gain, share, and clarify instructions and job requirements.
  • Liaise with account management as a Hallmark representative to identify issues or opportunities and advise the Territory Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Retail Merchandisers and account-level management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a retail environment is beneficial
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Must be able to travel when required
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Smartphone technology and ability to effectively manage an email account
