About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Community Living Trent Highlands. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A college diploma or CEGEP certificate in a related field is required. Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is an asset.
  • Work Setting: This role will involve working in a group home setting, with the possibility of working in various locations.
  • Certifications and Training: A Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate and First Aid Certificate are required.
  • Target Audience: The successful candidate will work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing support and care to help them achieve their goals and live independently.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check, driver's validity license check, driving record check (abstract), and vulnerable sector check are required.
  • Transportation and Travel: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Screening Questions: The successful candidate will be required to answer screening questions, including a question about their ability to work in Canada.
  • Financial Benefits: The successful candidate will be eligible for financial benefits as per the collective agreement.
What We Offer
  • Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time Position: We offer a permanent full-time or part-time position, with a work term of 7.5 to 22.5 hours per week.
  • English Language: The successful candidate will be required to work in English.
