Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intermediate Logistics Coordinator to join our team at the University of Ottawa. In this role, you will be responsible for administering inventory stock requests, adjustments, and replenishment, as well as organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage orders associated with inventory by processing stock requests and coordinating customer order fulfillment and delivery.
- Perform inventory counts, adjustments, and replenishments to maintain an adequate level of stock to support operations and ensure product quality.
- Track regulated substances received or shipped, such as chemicals and assets, in compliance with internal procedures and provincial and federal regulations.
- Provide guidance to buyers and clients to ensure applicable documentation is complete to avoid customs clearance delays or surcharges.
- Manage shipping requests, reviewing and recommending appropriate freight costs, transportation rates, and carriers.
- Knowledge of administration acquired through postsecondary education or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum two years of demonstrated experience in logistics, supply chain support, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting, explaining, and applying policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Federal and Provincial Environmental Health and Safety Legislation.
- Experience using ERP solutions and software.
- Experience in customer service.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Organizational skills and ability to meet firm deadlines.
- Capacity to lift boxes and move warehousing equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to priorities.
- Bilingualism (spoken and written).
