At Toon Boom, we're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Software Development Lead to guide our team of developers and contribute to the creation of innovative software solutions. You will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our projects, ensuring high-quality code, and fostering a collaborative and supportive development environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Software Developers, nurturing their skills and promoting best practices in software development.
  • Design robust and scalable software architectures that align with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Accurately estimate design and development timelines, ensuring efficient project planning and execution.
  • Develop user-friendly and intuitive software components, focusing on a seamless user experience.
  • Integrate individual software components seamlessly into the larger application ecosystem.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to established coding standards.
  • Implement comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Identify and resolve bugs effectively, ensuring a high level of software stability.
  • Prototype user interface elements to explore innovative design concepts and enhance user interaction.
  • Contribute creative solutions and ideas to improve existing workflows and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software design and development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience leading and mentoring software development teams is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and best practices, particularly within the C++ language.
  • Proficiency in Windows/Mac OS X platforms and a deep understanding of 3D graphics concepts.
  • Familiarity with the Qt C++ toolkit is a valuable asset.
  • A passion for learning new technologies and staying at the forefront of software development trends.
