About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Millennium Pacific Greenhouses Partnership. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our greenhouses, overseeing daily activities, and leading a team of employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and lead a team of 16-20 employees, including working groups, administrative clerks, computer operators, and other support staff.
    • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the greenhouses, including the management of equipment, supplies, and resources.
    • Develop and implement plans to prioritize tasks, optimize workflows, and improve productivity.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, vendors, and partners to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making
    • Identify and resolve operational issues, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
    • Make informed decisions that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, business administration, or a related field.
    • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a greenhouse or environmental setting.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and technical skills, with experience in database software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and employee satisfaction.
  • Language and Certifications
    • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders.
    • Basic security clearance, bondable, and valid driver's license.
