The role of the Supply Chain Analyst III encompasses the critical task of documenting operational workflows, orchestrating stakeholder engagement sessions, and producing comprehensive process and procedure manuals along with user training guides. This position is also tasked with conducting assessments of organizational change readiness and providing actionable recommendations to management for targeted enhancements.

Additionally, this role involves the development and upkeep of data mining models sourced from various systems such as JD Edwards, IFS, Oracle Cloud, among others, ensuring the precise and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and data analysis requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in Seaspan's business intelligence tools, focusing on data modeling, analysis, and reporting to meet supply chain KPI demands.
  • Serve as a Super User for the Procure-To-Pay process and system, overseeing requisitioning, Purchase Order creation, and payment processing.
  • Act as a Super User for Supply Chain Management activities within the Material Requirement Planning system.
  • Support Warehouse and Logistics teams by addressing their analytical needs and process modification requests.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain leaders to implement best practice procurement strategies.
  • Establish KPIs and drive enhancements in KPI metrics for business processes, making necessary adjustments to KPI reporting to improve operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with end-users and the Business Intelligence reporting team to define data warehouse requirements that align with organizational supply chain objectives.
  • Administer and maintain existing supply chain reporting solutions.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency.
  • Document process maps, manuals, and user training guides.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of ERP/MRP systems within the Purchasing and Inventory Modules.
  • Facilitate the integration and change management training of Supply Chain Management processes across Seaspan and its extended business partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business or Operations Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, including at least 3 years supporting MRP systems and 2 years in data warehousing, integration, mining, and report writing (e.g., Power BI, SAP Business Objects BI).
  • Preferred membership in PMI, ISM, PMAC, or APICS; completion of PMP, CPM, CPP, CPIM, CSCP, or PLOG certifications is desirable.
  • Proficient in working with data from large, integrated ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting Material Requirements Planning (MRP) solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data quality best practices and integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with quantitative methods and statistical process control/analysis, including Six Sigma and Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Knowledge of best practices in supply chain management, procurement, warehouse, logistics, and change management.
  • Ability to apply analytical techniques and financial concepts to resolve complex business challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with effective listening abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio), SharePoint, and Power BI.
  • Adaptable and flexible in response to change and improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong customer service orientation, self-motivated, and proactive.
