About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Cook to join our team at Rangeela Ajax. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations to ensure timely and efficient service.
Work Environment

As an Assistant Cook at Rangeela Ajax, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and physical demands.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant experience is essential.
  • Level of Expertise: Assistant level of expertise is required.
  • Cuisine Specialties: South Indian and East Indian cuisine specialties are a plus.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods is required.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and team player skills are essential.
