About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Cook to join our team at Dairy Queen. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they are clean and well-maintained, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and running efficiently.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working effectively and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and take action to ensure that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean kitchen and work areas to the highest standards, ensuring that all equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized.
  • Operational Management: Manage kitchen operations, including scheduling, staffing, and inventory management, to ensure that the kitchen is running efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week
  • Language: English
