Resident Service Attendant Part Time

Job Summary:

Verve Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Service Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to residents, including cognitive, social, and emotional support, according to their individual care plans.
  • Collaborate with the care team to provide feedback on care plans and ensure residents' physical, emotional, social, and safety needs are met.
  • Support residents' optimal level of functioning in their activities of daily living while respecting their rights and choices.
  • Perform nursing care procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' physical and emotional condition, as well as vital signs.
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation of residents' health records.
  • Participate in shift report to oncoming staff and provide ongoing support to colleagues.
  • Assist with other duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the residence, including housekeeping and laundry duties.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • PSW certificate and active CPR certification required.
  • Previous experience as a Health Care Aide/Resident Services Attendant working with seniors is considered an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to evaluate and meet resident care needs.
