Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Vice-President - Financial, Communications and Other Business Services at the Government of Canada - Central. This is a key leadership position that requires strong financial and administrative expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial and administrative policies and programs to support the organization's objectives.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to senior staff and departments, ensuring effective resource allocation and management.
  • Represent the organization in negotiations and official functions, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Oversee the selection and development of middle managers, directors, and other executive staff, ensuring they have the necessary authority and support to succeed.
  • Establish and maintain financial and administrative controls, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or finance.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a financial or administrative capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organization effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires the incumbent to work on-site at the Government of Canada - Central. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the physical demands of the role.
