JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation is looking for a motivated and skilled Change Management Specialist to become part of our Employee Experience Center of Excellence. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Change, the Change Management Specialist is essential in leading successful organizational transformation initiatives and cultivating a culture of adaptability and resilience. We seek a collaborative and results-oriented professional who can leverage their expertise in Change Management principles to guide our workforce through transitions, ensuring the effective implementation of strategic projects and programs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Change Strategy Development: Collaborate with project leaders to formulate comprehensive change management strategies that align with OPG's business goals and facilitate the successful adoption of initiatives.
- Client Engagement: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders at all organizational levels, ensuring their involvement and support throughout the change process.
- Communication Planning: Assist in crafting compelling communication plans and materials that clearly articulate the purpose, benefits, and impacts of change initiatives to diverse audiences.
- Learning and Support: Partner with our training team to provide employees with the necessary knowledge and skills to embrace change and excel.
- Impact Analysis: Conduct comprehensive impact assessments to identify potential challenges and risks, developing proactive mitigation strategies.
- Success Metrics: Define and track success metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Continuous Improvement/Innovation: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and integrating best practices into future change efforts.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree/College Diploma in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Adult Education, or Change Management.
- Certification as a Change Management Professional (CCMP) or equivalent is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in change management, organizational development, or a related role within a large organization.
- Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives from conception to execution.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with extensive experience in creating engaging presentations and training materials.
- Proficiency in change management methodologies and tools (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci).
- Strong project and program management experience.
- Self-motivated, energetic individual with a passion for success.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing shifting priorities and navigating complex organizational structures.
- Experience in a highly technical or multi-union workforce is an asset.
- Prior experience in regulated industries such as utilities, energy, or public sector is preferred.
