Qualifications and Skills

  4. Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  2. Execute repairs and maintenance tasks with skill and a sense of responsibility, ensuring timely and friendly service.
  3. Oversee maintenance contracts and warranties in collaboration with the Building Services Manager.
  4. Inspect resident suites during turnover, ensuring readiness for new occupants through tasks such as patching, painting, and minor repairs.
  5. Assist residents with furniture relocation as needed.
  6. Adhere to safety protocols at all times while on duty.
  7. Respond appropriately to building emergencies.
  8. Maintain the exterior of the building, including grounds and common areas.
  9. Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment and supplies.
  10. Manage snow removal from pathways and driveways.
  11. Update maintenance work orders in the designated database.
  12. Keep workspaces and storage areas organized and tidy.
  13. Monitor fire safety conditions and equipment, keeping the Building Services Manager informed.
  14. Perform minor electrical and plumbing tasks, as well as general repairs.
  15. Assist with fire drills and safety exercises as required.
  16. Maintain effective communication with colleagues and supervisors.
  17. Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Building Services Manager.
  18. Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
  19. Participate in mandatory training and educational programs.
  20. Comply with health and safety regulations, including recognizing hazards and reporting incidents.
