Key Responsibilities- Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment by promoting a culture of safety, empathy, and teamwork
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of three years of experience in a mental health setting
- Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and crisis intervention models
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an inter-professional team
- Crisis experience and certification in psychiatric mental health nursing
- Knowledge of patient and family-centered care
- Leadership and facilitation skills
