Division Chief Pediatric Medicine Job Description

About the Role:

The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Division Chief Pediatric Medicine to lead our Division of Pediatric Medicine. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and quality of care provided by the medical staff within the division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical staff leadership and oversee the division's academic activity
  • Collaborate with the administrative dyad to oversee operational resources and design efficient clinical delivery processes
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Lead and manage a team of academic general pediatricians
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including hospital administrators, faculty members, and community partners

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for a full-time academic appointment in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa
  • Strong operational and academic leadership skills
  • Proven record of achievement in comprehensive patient care, clinical program development, education, research, and/or quality assurance
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
