Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team. As a member of our interprofessional clinical team, you will provide psychological treatments to inpatients on medical/surgical wards, consult with referral sources, and supervise Psychology residents and senior practicum students.
Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based psychological treatments to medical/surgical in-patients, addressing a wide range of clinical issues, including mood and anxiety disorders.
- Accept referrals from clinical team members and provide consultation on assessment and treatment issues, which may involve interventions such as formal assessments, group or individual therapy.
- Conduct comprehensive oral and/or written assessments of client functioning, including information on psychological, psychiatric, and personality disorders.
- Develop and maintain confidential client clinical records, writing timely and accurate reports of relevant observations and evaluation of care.
- Offer consultation to colleagues on assessment and treatment issues, which may involve direct consultation or discussion with colleagues regarding concerns about a particular client.
- Participate in the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, pathways, protocols, and decision support tools for psychiatric patients/clients across the hospital and community.
- Attend and participate in multidisciplinary conferences, medical rounds, and service and department meetings.
- Supervise psychology students and interns as assigned.
- Participate in clinical research activities.
Education, Training & Experience
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
Current registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
Two (2) years recent related experience in evidence-based psychological treatments of mood, anxiety, and other disorders, as well as experience with psycho-diagnostic assessment of psychological function and disorders.
