Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our corporate law group, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our lawyers and clients, ensuring the smooth execution of corporate transactions and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage corporate records, including minute books, registers, and ledgers, and oversee the digitization of physical records.
  • Prepare documents for corporate formations, amendments, continuances, amalgamations, and dissolutions.
  • Support lawyers with legal and administrative duties, including monitoring corporate law filings and establishing direct client relationships.
  • Maintain and contribute to precedent databases and communicate with lawyers regarding various legal matters.
  • Respond to complex requests for information related to corporate secretarial matters from clients.
  • Perform online searches and manage corporate law filings, ensuring timely submissions.
Requirements
  • Certificate in Law or Paralegal Diploma with a combination of experience as a corporate law paralegal.
  • A minimum of seven years' experience as a Paralegal, with experience in corporate transactional work.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and handle confidential information.
