Health and Safety Coordinator Role

Lantic Inc. is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to join our operations department based in Montreal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to our overall safety culture within the refinery and offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze workplace-related risks and implement corrective measures.
  • Provide support to the refinery management team in preventing and resolving health and safety issues.
  • Advise and influence the management team on best practices regarding occupational health and safety.
  • Coordinate OHS activities, audits, emergency measures, OHS committees, safety training, etc.
  • Develop and disseminate safety training modules and programs that meet legal requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary studies in occupational health and safety or related studies.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in health and safety in an industrial environment.
  • Hands-on experience in health and safety.
  • Bilingualism (spoken and written) to communicate with both English and French-speaking sites.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office).
