About the Role

MNP is a leading national accounting, tax, and business advisory firm in Canada. We are seeking a Senior Advisor to join our Agriculture team, where you will play a key role in developing and maintaining relationships with governments, agri-food associations, and key opinion leaders in the Canadian agri-food space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand our network in the Canadian agri-food space, with a focus on the Ontario food and beverage industry.
  • Attend and participate in targeted agri-food association AGMs, conferences, trade shows, and consultations.
  • Facilitate meetings, webinars, and team calls with clients and prospective clients on industry-related topics.
  • Maintain client relationships through regular communication and connection.
  • Introduce MNP resources to target prospects and make Partners and Senior Managers aware of potential work engagement opportunities.
  • Establish relationships with referral sources, such as banks, financial institutions, law firms, and grant writers.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP service lines and Agriculture Niche and Food & Beverage Niche organizational structures.
  • Build awareness of Federal-Provincial government agri-food related funding programs and facilitate calls between Partners, Senior Managers, clients, and government program funding contacts.
  • Gather and distribute market intelligence on target prospects, opportunities, and issues that may impact the firm's interests.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert/Advisor on MNP agri-food related proposals and identify RFPs of interest for the firm to pursue.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of related experience in consulting, business development, or account management, ideally within Agriculture.
  • Strong facilitation skills and experience in prospecting, lead generation, and lead process.
  • Proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills.
  • An ability to initiate and build relationships, credibility, and trust.
