Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Linamar Corporation. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing strategic financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis: Conduct and document complex financial and economic analysis projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare consolidated financial reporting and analysis for senior management, including financial statement note disclosures for interim and annual financial statements.
- Accounting and Compliance: Perform monthly foreign translations and intercompany balancing checks, eliminate journal entries, and reconcile accounts.
- Research and Development: Research GAAP and document accounting policy, and assist with the forecast and budget consolidation processes.
- Audit Support: Support the year-end audit process from a consolidated perspective.
- Education: Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Designation: CPA designation.
- Experience: Minimum five years of previous experience.
- Skills: Strong knowledge and experience with Canadian GAAP, knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS considered an asset.
