Role SummaryThe Culinary Technologist is responsible for delivering expert guidance on both fundamental and advanced culinary techniques. This role involves ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available and properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise in food preparation principles.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
- Participate in assessing student performance in culinary practices.
Education:
- A minimum of a 2-year diploma in Culinary Management is required.
- Preferred: Provincial Certificate of Qualification in the Trade of Cook and/or Baking and Pastry Arts.
Experience:
- At least three years of relevant experience in diverse culinary settings, including full-service restaurants and catering, with a strong emphasis on baking and pastry.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exhibit strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in inventory and cost control software.
- Basic First Aid Certificate.
- Safe Food Handling Certificate.
