Job Summary and Requirements

This is a permanent, full-time position within the Yukon Department of Education, Student Support Services - Schools and Student Services Branch.

Job Responsibilities

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will identify and support a range of speech and language needs for students in the public school system across the Yukon.

You will provide assessments, consultations, intervention assistance, and program development for students.

This role also involves participating as a member of a multidisciplinary team to assist schools, parents, and caregivers in supporting students with special learning needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educators
  • Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
  • Experience with assessment and intervention strategies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
