Job Summary

As a Transportation Operations Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods within our network. You will lead and motivate a team of warehouse employees, office staff, and drivers, while upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate a workplace culture that prioritizes health and safety above all else.
  • Provide guidance and direction to a diverse team of warehouse personnel, office staff, and drivers.
  • Conduct daily yard inspections, temperature checks, and trailer setups, maintaining meticulous documentation.
  • Oversee daily vehicle and fuel maintenance procedures.
  • Develop and execute outbound trip plans based on scheduled departure times and Linehaul requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as P&D costs, dock costs, and load factor to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain cold chain assurance programs, including HACCP, ensuring compliance through program development, employee training, and reporting.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within your team.
  • Collaborate effectively with transport, line haul, and warehouse teams to achieve daily goals.
  • Work closely with the Terminal Operations Manager to implement KPIs aligned with customer service objectives.
  • Oversee service levels and implement continuous improvements as needed.
  • Prioritize customer needs by actively participating in calls and meetings.
  • Partner with terminal operations management and sales teams to develop customer retention initiatives and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collect and communicate operational data as directed by the Terminal Operations Manager.
  • Proactively identify continuous improvement efforts and cost reduction/growth initiatives.
