Job Summary:

The Personal Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Assist clients with medication management, including administering medications and monitoring side effects.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist clients with transportation, accompanying them to appointments and outings.
  • Monitor clients' health and well-being, reporting any concerns or changes to the care team.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in home care or personal support work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
