Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at John's Home Support- Private Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Support clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical well-being.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a non-smoking environment.
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (note: this is not a condition of employment).
  • Remote location with room and board provided.
  • Ability to work in employer's/client's home.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to lift between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs).
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
