Our expectations
Under the direction of the IT Telecom & Telephony Chief, the Network Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and evolving the current network and telecommunications infrastructure at RONA.
Your responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Enterprise Architects;
- Designing comprehensive solutions based on architectural plans and required criteria;
- Establishing plans for laboratory testing and presenting results;
- Documenting solutions and integration strategies with other systems;
- Defining deployment strategies;
- Supporting the technical team during deployment tasks and operations;
- Submitting support requests to designated vendors and suppliers;
- Documenting knowledge in an incident-oriented manner;
- Conducting periodic performance reporting to aid in capacity planning;
- Staying updated on networking technologies;
- Training the support team on optimal application usage in telecom services;
- Participating in off-hours support rotations.
The qualifications we seek:
- College or University degree in IT or equivalent;
- 5 years of experience with National WANs based on MPLS or SD-WAN;
- 8 to 10 years of proven experience in Cisco networking, VXLAN, BGP, IWAN, QoS;
- 5 to 8 years of experience with Cisco FirePower, DM-VPN;
- Cisco ACI experience is a plus;
- Cisco certifications are advantageous;
- Experience with Citrix ADC Load balancers is a plus;
- Python scripting in a network environment is a plus;
- Experience with Cloud services is beneficial;
- Familiarity with ITIL processes;
- Strong problem resolution skills;
- Well-organized and able to work under pressure;
- Teamwork is essential;
- Ability to communicate and popularize knowledge;
- Self-learning capability;
- Adaptability to change;
- Able to work outside of regular hours and participate in on-call rotations;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Teams.
