Our expectations:

Under the IT Telecom & Telephony Chief, the Network System Administrator is responsible for the management and evolution of the actual network and telecommunications at RONA.

Your role:

  1. Work with Enterprise Architects;
  2. Design detailed solutions based on Architect's plans and required criteria;
  3. Establish plans for lab tests and results presentation;
  4. Write documentation on the solution and integration strategy with other systems;
  5. Define Deployment strategies;
  6. Support technical team over deployment tasks and operations;
  7. Place support requests to designated vendors and suppliers;
  8. Document knowledge base in an incident-oriented approach;
  9. Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning;
  10. Stay current on networking technologies;
  11. Train support team on optimal application usage in telecom services;
  12. Participate in off-hours support rotations.

The qualifications we are looking for:

  1. College degree or University degree in IT or equivalent;
  2. 5 years of experience on National WANs based on MPLS or SD-WAN;
  3. 8 to 10 years of proven experience in Cisco networking, VXLAN, BGP, IWAN, QoS;
  4. 5 to 8 years experience in Cisco FirePower, DM-VPN;
  5. Cisco ACI experience is a plus;
  6. Cisco certifications are a plus;
  7. Experience in Citrix ADC Load balancers is a plus;
  8. Python scripting in a network environment is a plus;
  9. Experience with Cloud services is a plus;
  10. ITIL Process experience;
  11. Problem resolution abilities;
  12. Well-organized;
  13. Ability to work under pressure;
  14. Teamwork is a must;
  15. Ability to popularize and communicate knowledge;
  16. Self-learning ability;
  17. Ability to adapt to changes;
  18. Able to work outside of regular hours, be on call in rotation with team;
  19. Good knowledge of MS Office tools including Teams.
