Position Overview: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, acquisition, and deployment of advanced IT solutions for our diverse clientele. Your expertise will encompass a variety of industrial networking solutions, including but not limited to wide area networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN), wireless technologies (both radio and cellular), as well as copper and fiber optic infrastructures.
Technical Proficiencies: You should possess a thorough understanding of networking hardware, demonstrated through hands-on experience with configuring switches, firewalls, DMZs, routers, and other essential network devices. Familiarity with routing protocols such as RIPv2 and OSPF is crucial. Experience with Cisco systems and relevant certifications is highly desirable, while knowledge of HPE Networking is considered advantageous.
Additional Skills: Proficiency in Windows server environments, particularly with Active Directory, is beneficial. Experience in conceptual design using Microsoft Visio will also be advantageous. You will occasionally support internal services, which may include Microsoft Windows Servers, Ubuntu Linux, and Microsoft Exchange with SharePoint.
Collaboration and Support: This role is primarily based in our office, with support responsibilities extending across various locations. Your understanding of virtualization technologies, including VMWare and cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, will be vital as we enhance our corporate cloud strategies and offer these solutions to our clients.
Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities are essential, particularly the capacity to simplify complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders while maintaining composure under pressure. The responsibilities associated with this position may evolve over time.
Team Dynamics: You will report directly to the Systems Technology Team Leader and collaborate with a team of skilled technology specialists focused on network design, systems implementation, and industrial control systems. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.
