Job Summary
Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Coordinate and participate in all CT scanning procedures
- Ensure efficient and safe operation of CT scanners and related equipment
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures
- Contribute to a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and physicians
Requirements
- Diploma (Degree) in radiography from an accredited institution
- Member in good standing of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO)
- Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills
- Experience working with electronic medical records
- Familiarity with the Regulated Health Professions Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and adjust to new or unexpected events
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Proven attendance record
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate education pertaining to CT scanning
- Membership in CAMRT/OAMRT
- Ability to speak a second language
