About the Role

Ambipar Response Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regulatory Medical Writing Director to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in developing strategic initiatives to expand our Emergency Response service offerings, while overseeing the execution of projects within the BC region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Budgets and Cost-Effectiveness: Oversee the management of budgets and cost-effectiveness within the scope of responsibility.
  • Develop Project Scopes: Develop project scopes following company standards, ensuring that all projects are well-planned and executed.
  • Manage Job Creation and Resource Allocation: Manage job creation, resource allocation, and project documentation to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure Client Satisfaction: Ensure client satisfaction by maintaining accurate project records and providing regular updates.
  • Train Employees: Train employees on emergency response and quality control protocols to ensure that they are equipped to handle any situation.
  • Support Marketing Initiatives: Support marketing initiatives to ensure that our services are promoted effectively.
  • Collaborate with VP: Collaborate with the VP to generate revenue and manage project budgets.
  • Provide Weekly Account Projections: Provide weekly account projections and assist in final invoicing.
  • Track and Submit Labor, Equipment and Material Data: Track and submit labor, equipment, and material (LEM) data accurately.
  • Oversee Talent Development: Oversee talent development, performance management, and training to ensure that employees are equipped to handle any situation.
  • Handle Recruitment and Payroll: Handle recruitment, payroll, and time-off management duties.
  • Enforce Company Health and Safety Policies: Enforce company health and safety policies to ensure that employees are safe and healthy.
  • Submit Regular Performance Updates: Submit regular performance updates, financial reports, and incident reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Emergency Management, Hazmat Specialist, Industrial Firefighter, Rescue Specialist, Medical Specialist, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of leadership experience mentoring and managing teams effectively.
  • Safety Training: Successful completion of all required safety training under local legislation.
  • Physical Fitness Test: Successful completion of annual physical fitness test.
  • Business Acumen: Solid understanding of key business areas, including operations, safety, HR, finance, and marketing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in time-management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
