We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for carrying out laboratory testing procedures and related duties.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing procedures and related duties under the supervision of the Lead Medical Technologist.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate test results.
- Participate in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
- Provide education and training to laboratory staff on new procedures and technologies.
- Graduate from a recognized course in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Must possess a General Certificate.
- Must be eligible for membership with Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
