As an Assistant Deli Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and high-quality deli products. We're seeking a talented individual to join our Sandown location team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with the Deli Manager to oversee daily operations, including food preparation and inventory management.
  • Team Development: Assist with training and developing deli staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on our deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, to provide expert recommendations to customers.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and hot foods, to meet customer demands.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste to maintain efficient inventory management.
  • Stocking and Display: Ensure our deli products are attractively displayed and easily accessible to customers.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Food Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations in food handling and sanitation to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.

Requirements:

  • Food Safety knowledge
  • Experience: Previous work in a deli or food service environment
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with deli products and food safety practices
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team effectively
  • Passion: A genuine love for quality deli offerings and exceptional customer service. Great attitude and work ethic. Outgoing and energetic personality
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, evenings and weekend availability
