About the Role:

The Deli Clerk is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process customer deli orders, handling and preparing deli products with attention to detail and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all Food Safety Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Participate in the training of junior staff, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Process department shrink, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
