Position Overview:

The Technical Records Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the management of technical records related to the CH149 fleet and the -519 variant of the AW-101 aircraft. This role primarily focuses on maintaining the integrity of the CH149 Electronic Record Keeping System and performing data updates, alongside a critical emphasis on data analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage configuration and implement data updates within the CH149 Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS), GOLDesp, and the Compound - Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (C-IETP).
  • Support the CH149 Technical Record Supervisor by providing HUMS data for ASIP and ILS activities, collaborating with aircraft OEMs and IMP Solutions.
  • Offer expertise to in-house Engineering Life Cycle Specialists in retrieving trend data from Oracle/HUMS systems to aid in technical investigations.
  • Translate ATO and AMO policies and technical directives into GOLDesp and C-IETP data elements.
  • Ensure TAM-compliant management of the Electronic Record Keeping System for the CH149 Cormorant helicopter.
  • Coordinate the distribution of GOLDesp and C-IETP updates to user units.
  • Assist with parts Repair & Overhaul activities and Structure Building in GOLDesp for HIA heavy maintenance aircraft.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis on the CH149 fleet to support CSH program metrics and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Perform additional data gathering and analysis as part of CSH program initiatives.
  • Prepare reports for the CSC regarding CH149 materials, upgrades, modifications, and component usage trends.
  • Execute other duties as assigned by the CH149 CIS & Technical Record Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • A CET (Diploma in Engineering Technology) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in an aircraft engineering and maintenance environment, with relevant experience in aircraft systems.
  • Experience with the CH149 Cormorant is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of rotary wing aircraft systems and components.
  • Strong project and task management abilities.
  • Proficient in database management and general computer skills, with experience in enterprise-level databases (Oracle) and applications like MS-Access.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with GOLDesp is desirable.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations, standards, and military modification processes is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license or equivalent qualification as an aircraft technician within the Canadian Armed Forces, CSH, or commercial aviation is preferred.
  • Commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, with a focus on personal and collective safety.
  • Participation in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 5S initiatives is encouraged.
  • Eligibility to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
