Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Sakura Sushi. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of food, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • On-site work required, with no option to work remotely
  • Work setting: Restaurant
  • Ranks of chefs: Sous-chef
