Job Title: Mental Health Clinician

Job Summary:

Sinai Health is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at the Mount Sinai Hospital Campus. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will provide clinical care and support to adults facing mental health challenges, working collaboratively with clients, families, and community partners to promote recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to support clients' recovery goals.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional team to coordinate care, navigate resources, and ensure seamless transitions between services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, and external stakeholders to enhance client outcomes and promote a trauma-informed care approach.
  • Contribute to program development, education, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and services.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a health-related discipline, including Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or related clinical discipline.
  • Registration and current membership in good standing with a relevant regulatory college.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in a mental health setting, with preference for experience in working with people living with HIV, medical psychiatry patients, and outpatient mental health settings.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, along with ability to work effectively as a team member in a dynamic, inter-professional environment.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, crisis intervention skills, support for addiction issues, and interventions for severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments, identify opportunities for process improvement, and make continuous quality improvements to prevent harm and enhance client outcomes.
