Job Title: Secondary School Vice-Principal

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Secondary School Vice-Principal at the Toronto Catholic District School Board.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide leadership and support to the Principal in setting the direction for the school, building a shared vision, and fostering a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive culture. They will also provide effective curriculum leadership support, manage and administer school resources, and promote professional growth among staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Principal in setting the direction for the school and building a shared vision.
  • Provide effective curriculum leadership support and manage school resources.
  • Promote professional growth among staff and foster a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive culture.
  • Manage and administer school resources, including staff, student registration, attendance, and promotion.
Requirements:
  • Completion of Religious Education Part I.
  • Completion of the Foundation Series - Discerning Catholic Leadership Program by June 2025.
  • Completion of Principal's Qualifications Program Part 2 by June 2025.
  • Completion of either two specialist or honours specialist qualifications, or a master's degree (or proof of enrolment in a master's program with completion of at least one course by the closing of the posting).
  • Evidence of 7 years of qualified teaching experience as of June 30, 2024.
  • Demonstrated experience nurturing the Catholic faith community, personally and organizationally, in support of student achievement.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in areas of instruction, curriculum, and assessment within a school.
  • Demonstrated experience fostering and/or creating a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and building effective relationships with stakeholders.
