Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
- Dynamic and often noisy atmosphere.
- Exposure to various odours and wet conditions.
- Working in a hot kitchen environment.
- Develop and implement effective work schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on their job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit and hire food service personnel.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
- Prepare and submit operational reports.
- Establish effective work schedules for staff.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
