Role Responsibilities

The Automotive Sales Specialist is accountable for facilitating the sale and leasing of both new and pre-owned vehicles to prospective customers. Achieving sales targets and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction are essential components of this role.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive vehicle sales.
  • Managing incoming sales inquiries via phone, internet, and in-person interactions.
  • Qualifying potential customers and guiding them through the sales process.
  • Coordinating trade-in evaluations with the Pre-Owned Sales Manager.
  • Acting as a liaison between customers and sales management during negotiations.
  • Facilitating the transition of customers to the finance department.
  • Coordinating vehicle deliveries with sales and finance teams.
  • Actively seeking new customer opportunities.
  • Following up with previous customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Staying informed about product updates and changes.
  • Participating in regular sales meetings and performance reviews.
  • Familiarizing oneself with all manufacturers' sales and financing programs.
  • Conducting annual follow-ups with existing clients.
  • Keeping up to date with competitor offerings.
  • Collaborating with management to set annual sales goals.
  • Engaging in marketing initiatives as directed.
  • Assisting with showroom presentation and displays.
  • Participating in off-site training programs.
  • Closing sales by addressing customer concerns, negotiating terms, and finalizing contracts.
  • Understanding and adhering to all relevant sales regulations.
  • Guiding customers through the delivery process and introducing them to other dealership services.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and information effectively.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Strong business insight and professionalism.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
