Role Responsibilities
The Automotive Sales Specialist is accountable for facilitating the sale and leasing of both new and pre-owned vehicles to prospective customers. Achieving sales targets and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction are essential components of this role.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive vehicle sales.
- Managing incoming sales inquiries via phone, internet, and in-person interactions.
- Qualifying potential customers and guiding them through the sales process.
- Coordinating trade-in evaluations with the Pre-Owned Sales Manager.
- Acting as a liaison between customers and sales management during negotiations.
- Facilitating the transition of customers to the finance department.
- Coordinating vehicle deliveries with sales and finance teams.
- Actively seeking new customer opportunities.
- Following up with previous customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Staying informed about product updates and changes.
- Participating in regular sales meetings and performance reviews.
- Familiarizing oneself with all manufacturers' sales and financing programs.
- Conducting annual follow-ups with existing clients.
- Keeping up to date with competitor offerings.
- Collaborating with management to set annual sales goals.
- Engaging in marketing initiatives as directed.
- Assisting with showroom presentation and displays.
- Participating in off-site training programs.
- Closing sales by addressing customer concerns, negotiating terms, and finalizing contracts.
- Understanding and adhering to all relevant sales regulations.
- Guiding customers through the delivery process and introducing them to other dealership services.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret instructions and information effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
- Strong business insight and professionalism.
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
