Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Strategic Financial Leader to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with a particular emphasis on debt financing and equity raises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy: Lead the organization's corporate financial strategy, including establishing and maintaining financial statement models, capital allocation processes, and significant liquidity event readiness.
  • Budget Development: Undertake budget development in line with strategic priorities, monitoring, updating, and communicating adjustments to the budget as needed.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity of the company, ensuring adherence to budgets and meeting short-term and long-term financial obligations and goals.
  • Capital Structure: Manage the company's capital structure, debt financing, and working capital, optimizing the use of financial resources.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide monthly P&L analysis and reporting to the CEO and the Board, identifying and reporting key financial risks.
  • Corporate KPIs: Establish and oversee corporate KPIs and related processes.
  • Debt Obligations: Manage existing debt obligations and lead efforts to secure additional debt financing for various business initiatives.
  • Equity Raises: Oversee the planning and execution of private placement equity raises, developing and maintaining relationships with investors, venture capitalists, and other equity stakeholders.
  • Financial Transactions: Ensure all financial transactions are processed and recorded accurately, in line with generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure all tax filings and remittances are met, corresponding with relevant tax authorities as required.
  • Cash Flow Modeling: Build cash flow models that support risk/benefit analysis of operating in different jurisdictions.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a corporate finance and/or accounting role.
  • Superior leadership skills with proven experience managing teams.
  • Strong background in financial management, with a particular emphasis on debt financing and equity raises.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Operates effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment with changing priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint tools.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA) is required.
