Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Operations Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth and improvement.
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and customers.
    • Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and management.
    • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing situations.
    • Dependability and reliability, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
